HealthCare IB- my chances?
Some background info... I graduated from UT Austin last may with a biology degree and business minor. Found an accounting/financial services job at a jpm subsidiary in June and have been working there since. I've been targeting an IB job since my senior year (too late to transfer into the business school), so ive been making strides towards improving my financial background. I'm taking CFA level 1 in june, finishing up DealMaven level 1, GPA 3.6 and GMAT 650. Does anyone here think I have a shot at a healthcare analyst position? I recently got a referral interview at an energy boutique, but didnt get an offer (they told me I would've gotten one on the spot if I had more financial background). Can anyone give me their .02? thx
=(
Research might be something more up your alley. Although industry knowledge is helpful in IB, it's not more important than finance skills. HC research is the opposite though. A CFA, basic modeling skills, and your HC background would be a much better fit in HC research.
