HELP - late payments and credit check
I have a conditional offer from a BB as a quant.
However, I have a few late payments (30D delinquencies) on my credit report. One from two years ago and one from 4-5 years ago. My credit is fine otherwise.
1. Will this affect my chances?
2. Can I still be bonded? (Background check form mentioned I must be eligibile for security bond).
If anyone in a similar situation can let me know how it went for them, please do. I promise to post an update either way when I find out the outcome in a couple weeks.
I thought you are only hit with delinquency when you fail to pay altogether not because of late payments
When it's up to 30 days late. The bank doesn't report it to the bureau. In my case I was more than 30 days late and so it was a delinquency
Pretty sure you should be fine. Friend had something worse on his credit report and had no issue with IB BB background check.
