Help/Advice getting into IB in Nashville

hello! I am at a PE backed start up here in Nash. I started as the 4th employee and had a lot of exposure to the equity associates, consolidation of financials for BD and CEO, even to the point of managing/monitoring cash burn to request funding. shitty titles, and lack of exposure as we've grown and I'm dying to exit. I've been trying to get into UBS and AllianceBernstein now that they are here but even with internal references, nothing has happened. I had an inny at EY this week but for a business advisor to partners and I'm not sure if that is a step in the right direction or not. Thanks for any advice
