I'm sure you've heard this before but most people on this board consider applying online worthless. (my personal opinion is that it can work, but highly doubt you'd get an interview as a freshman)

Definitely go to the info sections though. Meet as many alums as you can and start building your network.

Your freshman summer is your one chance to do something outside of finance. I would say, especially if you don't have the family connections to get something somewhere, look at boutiques and stuff like that. You could also do something service-learning oriented. Gives you nice resume foder and a good talking point etc.

Apply online and speak to the recruiters. Unfortunately, you will have limited opportunities to land a BB internship. For now, try to do anything finance related but that is not as important right now. Right now, make sure you keep your grades up. Its extremely easy to put your GPA in a hole you cant recover from. Focus on your studies for the next year or so. Good luck.

I'll be attending the info sessions and meeting people there, though, as I mentioned, they're mostly looking for juniors. So, my plan first consists of reaching out to alumni. Then, if that produces no hits, I'll start cold calling/emailing. I'm also willing to work for free, if that changes anything. My backup plan is to take valuation and fin. modeling courses at LSE over the summer.
