how exactly does a networking trip work?

west-coaster flying out to nyc in a couple weeks for a day conference. have a lot of free time so figured i may as well make this a networking trip too. never done this before, so just wanted some general process/outeach help.

1. i have maybe 8-10 ppl I've already talked to based in nyc: should i just tell em i'm coming or keep this trip to meeting new ppl?
2. can i cold email NYC bankers and say "yo im I'm coming" or should the in-person chat be the 2nd time we meet?
3. how tf do i avoid getting hot/sweaty running around the city w a whole suit, esp during the summer
4. will there be any conflicts as bankers are also coffee chatting SAs?
5. is there an etiquette to drinks? (obv. no dragon-pink lemonade bs) but is like an iced latte too much? (i'm a guy)

1. i have maybe 8-10 ppl I've already talked to based in nyc: should i just tell em i'm coming or keep this trip to meeting new ppl? YOU CAN PROBABLY REACH OUT AND SAY THAT YOU ARE IN THE AREA IN CASE THEY WANT TO GO FOR COFFEE BUT DONT SAY THAT YOU ARE COMING WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF NETWORKING - COMES ACROSS AS TOO MUCH
2. can i cold email NYC bankers and say "yo im I'm coming" or should the in-person chat be the 2nd time we meet? THIS IS NOT A GOOD APPROACH IN MY OPINION, IN PERSON MEET SHOULD REALLY ONLY EVER BE CIRCUMSTANTIAL I.E., YOU HAPPENED TO BE IN THE SAME AREA / CITY... GOES BACK TO ABOVE POINT, TRAVELLING FOR NETWORKING IS A BIT WEIRD
3. how tf do i avoid getting hot/sweaty running around the city w a whole suit, esp during the summer YOU WONT
4. will there be any conflicts as bankers are also coffee chatting SAs? I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS; DEFER
5. is there an etiquette to drinks? (obv. no dragon-pink lemonade bs) but is like an iced latte too much? (i'm a guy) I AM A GUY AND DRINK WHATEVER I WANT, I DO NOT CARE. IF I WANT A PINK DRINK THAT TASTES NICE I GET IT, OR IF I WANT A JUICE I GET THAT TOO. NOBODY HAS MADE ANY COMMENT AND FRANKLY I DO NOT CARE IF THEY DO EITHER. BUT IF YOU ARE SELF CONSCIOUS (I DONT THINK PPL CARE) THEN YOU CAN GET AN ICED LATTE I SUPPOSE, IT WONT MOVE THE NEEDLE
