How is IB at Oppenheimer? I know it's not the greatest, but wondering if it would still be a good place to work with decent exits?

It was set up differently than any of the other superdays I went to. They invited 24 people total to the final rounds, split up between two fridays with 12 people each. The 12 people that come in on a given day were then split up into 3 groups of 4 people, with each group interviewing with a different set of interviewers (with each set consisting of roughly 1 analyst, 1 associate, 1-2 VPs/Directors, and 1-2 MDs). An offer was then given to one candidate from each group, which makes sense since a set of interviewers would only meet with the four of the 12 candidates in that day.

FT recruitment is much different than summer Analyst. When you’re refeuiting for FT if an analyst / associate doesn’t like you for whatever reason (could be your school, something on your resume, etc) they will ask you ridiculous questions just to ball you (kind of like a fraternity?) that no matter how much you studied you would never know.

For instance, I was asked to do a DCF in my head then convert the cash flows to Yuan given a rate of exchange and then discuss factors affecting M&A deals in China when interviewing for HSBC.
