How late is too late to lateral from Consulting to IB Analyst?
Hello - I'm finishing up my second year as a Management Consultant in a Big 4 M&A Advisory role working on Synergy and Standalone Due Diligences, as well as Sign-to-Close Integration/Separation work.
After working in the M&A space for 2 years now, I know I want to get into a more financial role within the deal, with the ultimate end-goal of PE. Based on research the only way to do that is through IB. Is 2 years of consulting experience and being 2.5 years out of UG too late to become an IB analyst? What companies would take an interview from someone with my experience? BB, MM?
