How much of your take home do you guys invest?

How much of your take home pay do you guys put into index/mutual funds?

I've heard the thumb rule is to put ~20% in index funds, but being new to IB and the money, wanted to get your views on this

“Straight to the point. Very clear instructions on delivery and time frame. Tweaked the final paragraph and how to develop the MCA talking point into IB. Strengthen the point about understanding the need for capital and this was realized during the need to grow into new markets following market saturation. Going forward in coffe chats etc - need to ensure I have a clear ask in my head and the purpose of the meeting. Need to remain flexible and adaptable, but be clear on th epurpose of the meeting ”

“It was great meeting Sahil today. I shared many updates with him regarding my technical preparation and networking progress. He gave me very good feedback to take my networking calls to the next level. In addition, I shared my TMAY, why banking and 7 stories with him. He gave me feedback to help structure my responses to more banking specific and almost tailor my responses so that they implicitly show my interest and fit for banking. Sahil's feedbacks are very unique and practical, and I look forward to doing a mock interview with him next week.”
