How to survive the holiday season when you're new and everyone is going on PTO?

Title. Came in as a lateral < 2 months ago. Been trying to ramp up as quickly as possible and have worked on a lot of different models but there is still a ton I don't know as each company/deal/model is unique. My training has just been a shadow format where the analyst fully responsible for the work product is supposed to train and guide me on everything.

I'm staffed (shadowing) on like 10 different deals. Some have slowed down but others are picking up. Most of the experienced analysts are currently out/will be out on PTO for 1-2 weeks up until the new year. Once I finish whatever work they assign me and the final package is submitted, the analysts go fully MIA on PTO and I'm the one expected to turn comments for material I haven't seen before and have no experience with (haven't gotten any insight on what to do when they're gone). I've been relying on other new analysts (who are barely more experienced than I am) to survive but it's starting to become harder as everyone else is busy with their own work. We don't have any associates so that's not an option.

VP's and other higher level people are starting to ask me questions in place of the analysts on leave but I literally have no idea how to complete the question/task they're asking me to do. I don't want to tell them I don't know or ask them to show me how to do what they're asking since I don't want it to reflect bad on me. How should I go about this?
