I used to work at HPS and covered their ABF and RE teams. The ABF was relatively small but is ambitious with what they’re trying to build. The RE team was petty new when I started. They had their first deals in 2021 and nearly half of them went into default. I think their coverage expanded significantly following their partnership with Guardian.
