HR asking to call day after superday and no call

Finished a superday yesterday, HR emailed me at noon about when I'm free for a call today. Told them i'm available the whole day and it is now 6:30 PM and have not got any call or response to email yet. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Would really much rather received an email to get rejected than having to deal with it on the phone with them as I really want this position.

Thanks all

EDIT: got the call for the offer :)))

Usually if someone asks me when I'm available on a day and I'm free the whole time, I'll list out 2-3 random times, then say "I'm free all day, so I can also be flexible with a time that is best for you"; that way, they get something specific rather than having to think things out themselves.

Bro chill you got the offer. Just relax, Becky from HR is at CasaBlanca rn getting wasted. She will call tomorrow. Happened to me last year lol

The only time I've had HR email and ask to call like that is for a rejection. Could really go either way, nobody here will know. Just wait for the call.

But yes, you're right in thinking that if you haven't heard back by eod it's probably not great.
