"I didn't bring my business card" - Truth or Lie? Especially at a Superday

Title says it all.

Are they politely saying that you are not even worth the value of one of their business cards or do they actually not have one? Especially at a Superday, when they know the only thing I plan to do is to send that required thank you email per formality. I can't imagine why an interviewer would not have his/her business card.

Also to note, I have had this happen to me (at Superdays), then they: - write down their email for me - don't write it down, tell me to ask HR/Career Center for OCI (we all know how helpful HR is - so basically never gotten the info) - respond to me positively after I've guessed their email

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

I wouldn't read too much into it. I have been in super days where they all gave me a business card yet I didn't receive an offer and where nobody gave me a business card and I had to guess the email, which ended up resulting in an offer. Just make sure to send a thank you to each interviewer and make it personal based on the conversation you had with them and you will be fine.

Thank you guys for the comments.

So let me ask another question, do people nowadays even care about Thank You emails? I've always been told that it can't help you, but it definitely migh hurt you if not done or not done properly.

If interviewers do still expect a thank you email and don't give out cards, then it becomes quite burdensome/worrisome when I'm sending out 26 identical emails hoping to get you middle name initial right, with different underscore or period combinations, resending to Michaela, Macaela, Makayla, Mechaela, Micaela, Michaila, and Mikaela, or guessing the part after @ (if a bank has differing divisional format)
