IB Boutiques that are still hiring for SA

Hi WSO,

I'm a sophomore pursuing a Summer Analyst position. I understand that I'm very late for SA recruiting but I understand that many boutiques are still hiring and if anyone can mention positions or firms they know of would be very helpful. I'm still looking on my own but I just want to be sure I'm not missing out on any firms.

Any place you find at this point is not going to be a brand name shop and will MAYBE have 1-2 slots open so anyone who is actively looking is not going to be sharing their entire list for the rest of the WSO world to pounce on.

Pick a target city, google "City investment bank" and you'll find a ton of smaller places that you can contact. Plenty of small PE firms, asset managers, etc. that will come up in the search too. When I was searching for internships in the New England area I found probably 30+ firms to reach out to doing this so they are definitely out there. It won't be Goldman Sachs though

Perhaps FT Partners, some divisions at Piper off the top of my head in terms of reputable shops. Maybe time to explore industry specific boutiques or lower lower middle market ib firms/ banks that don't emphasize IBD. Think M&T, TD

"Very late" for SA recruiting? Since you're a sophomore, the SA recruiting cycle that involves you (SA 2020) hasn't even started yet. Unless you're referring to sophomore SA positions, which are mostly diversity anyway.

To infinity... and beyond!
