IB comp in Seattle and 2nd tier cities?

Hi, any knowledge on what comp is typical for IB analysts/associates in Seattle and similar second-tier cities? Also, are the hours much better than similar work in NYC?

Thanks.

Just depends on the shop from what I've researched. There are not many firms bigger than regional MM, and pay is usually a lot lower than the Street.

Pay is below street. ~60k + bonus. Hours are much much better than in major cities. Most analysts leave before 12 and work on some weekends.

I second this, though I was thinking even a little lower ~50-55k but it is probably up to 60 by now.

can someone clarify brief lists of "first-tier" and "second-tier" cities for ib?

It's not that hard to figure out. Look where the best groups/shops are.

Top Tier:

NYC, Chicago, San Fran, LA, Houston (energy) - you could probably make a case for NYC on its own tier

Second Tier:

Charlotte, Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, Dallas, Philly, Atlanta

No tier (just for laughs):

Jacksonville (DB)
