IB exit after 3 years - What should I do?

I'm currently in my 3rd year as an Investment Banker at a boutique specialized in tech transactions, with a total compensation of $150-180k. I recently received an offer to transition to a CFO role at a project finance company that focuses on mining, sanitation, and energy sectors. The total comp would be $250k + stock options.

The company has $5M in revenue and is about to merge with two others, which would increase the total revenue to $12M, and I’d be managing the finances for all three entities.

Would you consider this a good move, given the potential and current role?

if this is real I'd go for it. I really dont get why they are making you cfo though.

Yes, I received this offer. They were my clients two years ago, and over the past 18 months, I provided various cash flow consulting services and helped them structure the financial side of the company, in addition to optimizing cash, inventory, and assisting with bidding for new projects. My only concern about accepting is that I might be limiting my future prospects. My plan was to move to a PE firm first, and only then become a CFO. I feel like I would be skipping a step, and that, if I fail (due to the high risk given the size of the company), it could have an impact on the rest of my career. I'm afraid I might not be able to relocate afterwards.
