Giuliani just sold his IB. investment banking is such a bullshit business. it speaks volumes about the nature of the business that an ex mayor/ mob prosecuter and a corrupt and dirty ex cop can start an investment banking firm. id like to see thoose two hacks start a hedge fund.

Number one, Giuliani never "started an investment banking firm." He started a security consulting business. That business then decided it would be a good move to buy Ernst & Young's investment banking unit.
Number two, you are all over this board posting about how you want to be in IB. WTF are you doing bashing it?
Number three, there has been a growing theme in finance that ex-big cat CEOs and political figures go to smaller "boutique" firms to add legitimacy and leverage their personal contacts to the firms benefit. It makes sense and is quite intuitive when you sit down and think about it.
