You have nothing to lose if you email. Email about what you realized you did wrong and how to fix it and that you'll learn for next time. Not an expert at this but something along those lines
i was thinking that too, I have nothing to lose. but would love more opinions
Overwhelming majority of companies have policies where they won't disclose anything in feedback but you lose nothing by asking – I'd say it's better to ask the interviewers themselves vs. a recruiter.
Uh, just to be clear, I am not asking them anything. I just wanted to tell what I did wrong, and what I would do to fix it.
Still boils down to feedback-related, so chances are they wouldn't honor any aspect of that depending on the company. I once did something similar and was met with serious resistance for even engaging in contact.
Given where you stand though, you have nothing to lose yes give it a shot considering there is infinite upside and zero downside.
Yep, the only potential downside is that they might think I am annoying lol or desperate
I had a phone screen with a BB earlier this year. I was given 10 behaviorals and 3 technicals. I crushed the behaviorals. The 3 technicals were easy basic accounting and valuation questions. Like word for word out of one of the guides. Bombed 1 out of the 3 questions. Like truly demonstrated that I had no idea how to connect the 3 financial statements.
BUT I followed up with an email talking about my nerves over the phone and that my poor answer was not a result of a lack of knowledge or preparation but instead a being nervous over the phone and that I could better demonstrate my skills in person. I also included a detailed write up of the correct answer. I asked politely without begging to still be considered due to this.
Got the final round. Got the offer. Accepted the offer.
