Illiquid Portfolio Valuation Analyst -> IB? ER?
long time reader first-time poster:
Currently a year out of college and working within an internal portfolio valuations group for one of the largest PE/HF's in the world, valuing their illiquid portfolio companies/securities. With that being said, I have recently been putting a lot of time into considering a pivot into IB or ER, as I believe the work is incredibly tangential to both spaces (particularly to ER). I interned at an MBB's Global Markets program.
I wanted to see if anyone might have any insight into a pivot comparable to this or had any advice as I embark on this nearly impossible mission.
Thank you!
