Incoming Investment Banking Analyst and what should I do
Hello Guys,
I got the chance to join a prestigious Investment Bank next year as a 1st Year Analyst. I would like to stand out compaed to my peers (I think I do already because I am very passionate about banking and don't think about the exit at all). What should I do to prepare for my time as an analyst? I have about 1 month of spare time. Should I do a modelling course? Which books can you recommend to impress the seniors in small talk? (I mean knowledge about some niche stuff which would make me seem intellectual)
Thank you guys
First, you need to make sure you post "Incoming Investment Banking Analyst" on your LinkedIn with a three-paragraph explanation of how blessed you feel to have gotten the position.
Quit drinking caffeine. You will thank me later.
Why? Wouldnt he get addicted during the internship either way?
Yes. However, if you quit prior to the internship it will lower your tolerance so it hits stronger when you really need it.
Agreed, or at least take a 6 week break. One of the best things I have ever done.
Sounds like you already stand out...I would buy some horn-rimmed glasses so that you seem intellectual, though.
Second this
