industry groups
what are the best industry groups to join? a few people have told me not to join FIG because it's too specialized. energy seems pretty interesting to do. what do you guys think?
TMT for the west coast. Industrials for the mid-west. All else for NY.
but mike said it well....houston for energy
If you want to do energy, do you have to go to houston or is nyc a possibility?
Most banks have energy bankers in NYC (the group is called Natural Resources)
It depends on each bank, there's no univerisally great industry group.

i know you really have to determine a good industry group by looking at the bank. but i just wanted to see which industry groups you typically learn the most. didn't know whether there were huge differences or not. all i know is to not do healthcare
