Internal mobility (SA -> FT)

I'm at a BB, interning at role within the bank's CIB (though not IB). I'm interested in lateraling to IB or one of the commercial banking roles. Though I've generally heard that the bank is decent about internal mobility, does anyone know whether banks will have that as an option this year? Also, is the best way to prepare just by networking with analysts and associates in the different groups? Thank you!
