Fairly challenging... the non-NY offices are always going to be a challenge to get to NY after SA
Personally unless you are sure of your chances for FT recruiting, I would not rock the boat with your current group by asking about this. It's always possible to move internally around the 1yr mark, but SA -> FT office upgrade is really tough to pull off
yeah that’s what I figured, I heard pwp and kinda Moelis are more cool about it tho? Have u heard anything about this
Most of what you see on here about that applies to FT mobility, which Moelis at least is fine with. No team is going to be at all happy with a SA wanting to transfer offices

Yes I'd do that over trying to lateral and potentially having no lateral and no offer. At least you'd have it as a fallback if needed

What about lateraling from one group within IB to another at an EB once you are already Ft?
