If you are intending investing for the long term, I would invest in a series of index funds, using an asset allocation appropriate for your investment time frame.
Buy oil calls and hope something happens between USA/IRAN/ISRAEL.
asset allocation is going to be the single biggest driver over the long term. go 1/3 international, 1/3 real estate, 1/3 us stocks and you'll be alright. i am not an investment advisor.
