Is it normal for 66% of a groups second year analysts to leave or does it signal that the group is bad?
I know most second-years leave for PE but I'm just not sure on what the numbers are. In addition to this, if associates and VPs are also leaving could this signal that the group is not an ideal one to join?
At the analyst level this is fine, it also signals that the group places well into PE/other opportunities. I would be more concerned with large Associate and VP turnover as at that point it signals that people don’t see the group as a viable career path.
What would you say is a good number for associate turnover? Let's say 4 second year associate leave, is that too much? This is a BB group.
What if all of your 2nd-years leave and a few 1st-years have too...
the MBA associates are locked to their cubicles and flagellated with a horsewhip until they expire
Feel like I know what group you are talking about, but I guess a lot of group across street are like this. It signals that the culture is insufferable and the place is a sweatshop.
