Is it worth a sideways move or wait?

Currently at a LMM boutique, don’t really like my team or the deals I’m working on. Have an offer I have til 1st week of January to accept at another boutique, working on slightly larger transactions, with more relaxed hours 40-60.

Looked at the exits at this firm and no one has gone to PE, which is ultimately the end goal for me. The market right now is so bad I’m honestly considering taking it. I’ve interviewed for 4 roles over the last few months and nothing has materialized for me. Do I wait til Feb maybe March to see if more spots in MM start to open up or do I commit? I really don’t want to be at my current firm post March

Don’t you have a notice period and non-compete? At my firm it’s 1 month notice and additional 3 months non-compete if moving to a competitor. If this is the same for you, that would give you time to recruit when hopefully the market opens up a bit?
