Have a friend in the group so can shine some light on it. Dealflow has been solid and rising since JEF poached basically the entire CS team and a Barcap guy, pay is street to above street depending on performance (JEF pays very high for top performers ASO and up), and culture has been sweaty because the group is so understaffed for its deal flow.

Agreed. CS FIG was also doing pretty well up to this point before all the departures. They were pretty much in the tier below GS/MS/JP and tied with BofA. Got on some huge deals like TD-Schwab and S&P-IHS
