JPM Contacting BSC FT/SA Hires . . .
Anyone get the email that the guy in this article is referring to?

I have an offer for this summer from BSC but haven't heard anything from JPM HR (only BSC HR) and wanted to see what other people's experience has been.
Thanks.
...nothing so far.
um....
no clue what he's referring to. unless he made the big leap of already calling Bear folks JPM, since most of us were contacted by Bear's recruiters. no clue though. hopefully they give us some info here pretty soon, one way or another. so we can either chill out, or dive head-first into interviewing. again.
one thing im seriously worried about is even if JP honors our contracts, we won't be fully integrated with the other JP SAs, we'll probably get much worse of a summer experience, and many of us won't get FT offers. IF that's the case, should we even bother sticking it out, and should we start looking right now for other opportunities?
I would probably stick it out. It's a little late for other opportunities this summer, and having something on your resume will no doubt make it easier to get the next thing on your resume - even if you don't end up with an offer.
That's my take anyhow.
Was how they mentioned banks have learned their lesson from last time and are eager to recruit good young talent so that when the market is better once again, they have enough people on-hand.
The email in particular seems like more rumor-mongering... I haven't heard anything to that effect yet.
I am almost certain that something got "lost in the translation" in that article. The Wednesday e-mail to Fixed Income hires was from Bear HR. The e-mail was just as vague and not informative as the article describes it.
