DB is one of the leaders in LBO's (most fees from KKR) and is definitely not shy about using their sheet. Yhey are trying to improve their M&A franchise, which Moellis is really good at, so he would enjoy the challenge.

Highly unlikely he goes to DB. He'll start his own shop if he does leave.
Well, he is not all about LBO's, but he was embarassed by UBS' lack of desire to use their balance sheet. DB, on the other hand, is a specialist when it comes to using its balance sheet. As far as the advisory, if he is leaving because he couldn't use the balance sheet, then surely he won't find that in a start-up boutique
