Late for 2020?

I already signed for 2020 SA at an EB, but I have a friend who just got interested at IB a week ago as a Junior. Really smart guy and I'm trynna help him out however I can to break into the field. I recommended him to apply to random boutiques and MC positions for the summer since the 2020 SA boat has largely passed and then to re-recruit for FT, but was wondering what you guys would recommend he do? For reference, we're at a HYPSW and he has a 4.0 in an engineering degree.
