Lateral from T3 City SA to NYC FT
Incoming IB SA at a regional boutique in a T3 city. Interested in lateraling to a BB/EB/MM IB in NYC for FT. I know this is competitive — looking for advice from people who've made this move or hired laterals. Specifically: how important is deal experience vs. brand name at this level, is it worth reaching out to people before I even start, and how should I be thinking about networking into NYC groups during my SA year without burning bridges at my current firm?
