Lateraling from Wells Top Groups

Currently, a senior in one of the ivy+ (non HYPSM) with 4.0 GPA and an incoming IBD analyst in one of Wells' top groups.

How feasible is it to ft-recruiting/lateral from Wells Fargo top groups ( M&A, IND, REGAL) to top advisory shops like MS/GS/EVR/PJT/LAZ?

I lateraled out of WF and recruited FT after my SA stint to one of the banks you mentioned. It was hard, but manageable. Took loads of networking and mastering techs since the FT interviews are more complex, but nothing you can't prepare for. Putting the current job market aside, you probably have an even better chance, considering the WF name brand has gone up in value in recent years. So, yes, it is feasible, just takes work.

huge congrats, esp in this market

did the one you signed w/ have an online app or it was invited to interview through networking? felt there were a good amt of apps but usually people say ft recruiting you wont even know happens unless you are networking

Nobody is lateraling right now across banks largely because this is a rare time where there have been a large amount of An1s and An2s who have been laid off most prominently at BoFA.

BofA is having a great year with deal flow. why they are laying off so many An1 and An2?
