since you said summer, i assumed you are talking about summer analyst. Ive known many guys to leverage their OPs FT offers into getting IBD FT interviews and getting in.

if you are FT, dont worry man. just work hard, get promoted quickly and in a few years get into a top MBA. Nothing is impossible.If you have a story, have a few promotions, good recs, and a high GMAT, you can make it to a top B school. LB also has a program to sponsor eligible members from all divisions for an MBA in stern. not just IBD.

 

If you are a top 3 from the summer ops class you may have a chance to interview with front office - becauase of your interaction you will probably have a shot at Sales and Trading. Otherwise you will have to be a top performing analyst for 2 years in the operations program and then you will have a shot to become a 1st year analyst in S&T. Good luck.
