Lincoln International Frankfurt

Hello everyone,

I got an interview coming up with Lincoln International for an off-cycle internship in Frankfurt office and I would like to know if someone could give me any advice about the culture there, the way interviews are constructed, exclusive insights..

Thank in advance !

I work in one of Lincoln's U.S. offices so I can't say I know how the interview process is in Frankfurt but can give my own experience. Lincoln has a strong emphasis on interviewing for culture and fit, rather than drilling you with technicals. The culture is really great and the people are really enjoyable to work with. They work hard but don't give BS work, so I've found it a really enjoyable place. Also WLB is pretty solid for the volume of deals you'll get staffed on.

You'll probably have up to 8 interviews, with only one being technical (and mostly stuff you can find in the technical guides). Lincoln cares A LOT about hiring personable people who have strong initiative. Focus most of your time on getting your behavioral answers down pat, but if you aren't strong with technicals it's still worth putting time into that.

Thank a lot for providing these insights. The culture is effectively something that I found important during my researches and it motivates me twice more to get the offer !

However, is it really 8 interviews for an off-cycle internship for Frankfurt office ? Most processes I have done so far were more like 2/3 rounds, 8 rounds look incredibly hard !

Is it possible to PM you to get more insights ? Thank a lot

I know someone who interned in Frankfurt and to be fair it’s the typical Frankfurt Interview. Basically only technical fit is not directly tested. They had bad headlines for putting analysts into „Kurzarbeit“ which means paying only 60% of salaries due to COVID by German law while hours probably didn’t decrease. They do some decent MM deals though.

Any insights on their reputation in Frankfurt with regards to exit opps? How much modeling experience do interns and first years get?
