Lost Grade Appeal and now my GPA is overstated .03 on resume - will offer be rescinded?

I had contacted a professor about a grade appeal at the end of last semester and she said she would look into it, as she had rushed grades out because she was pregnant and I thought she marked me lower than I should have been. I had calculated my grade numerous times throughout the semester, and I thought I had an A-, rather than a B+. I was 99.9% sure the grade appeal would go through, and so I recalculated my GPA and listed that on my resume for full time recruiting.

Turns out that the deadline for last semester's grade appeal passed and my professor didn't do anything about it. At this point I don't really even care, but I'm beginning to wonder if this'll be a red flag for my background check.

My GPA was listed at 3.81 on my resume, but as a result of losing this grade appeal, it's now a 3.785 cumulative. Will this be an issue for my background check? Should I e-mail HR and let them know, and just say "hey, I lost a grade appeal and my GPA was overstated by .01, and while I realize this is inconsequential, I figured I should let you know for the sake of clarity"? There really isn't any formal documentation of this process because I talked to my professor in person, and just realized the appeal process deadline is passed, so I don't know how I could prove it really.

For what it's worth, when I uploaded my resume after I had accepted the offer to the bank's website in order to "complete an application", I just left my GPA as 3.8. Not sure if that's the resume that gets background-checked.

Sorry for the dumb question, I realize these come up all the time. I'm just a bit paranoid at this point.

I received and signed the offer back in September.

No mention of transcript or anything background check related yet, and for what it's worth, my GPA this semester should bring my cumulative to around 3.809 (i.e. 3.81). I'm just hoping the background check isn't initiated before the semester closes in a month because I'd rather not have to deal with it.

Thanks for the responses.

hayjaykay Though I believe the .09 it states is OK might be a tad excessive I don't think an offer would be rescinded for a .03. Have you submitted your official transcript or even received an offer for that matter?

"Rounding" a 3.43 to a 3.5 isn't rounding. It's lying.

That's my issue though, I don't really have anything to offer up in terms of evidence except for my word, which is why I'm worried. I also don't know which résumé they'll use for the check - the one listed on my online application (which states a 3.8) or the one that I sent to HR the day before my superday (which says 3.81)

You don't have any emails between you and the professor? If not, why not just email her and say 'I understand you must have been busy, thanks for looking into a grade appeal' or something. She should reply, and then you have your evidence.

I can't tell if you're trolling or not. Is this a serious concern for you? I don't see any conceivable scenario where they would take away the offer. The difference between a 3.78 and a 3.8 is a rounding error. Unless you are off by >.1 ( and even then if grades weren't finalized when you submitted the resume you could say you were given bad guidance by your prof), banks have bigger things to worry about than an applicant being off by .02 on their GPA, because it literally has nothing to do with how you'd perform your job

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
