M&A deal activity in lower middle market
I am considering an M&A advisor / broker position with a firm focused on the lower middle market and even the upper end of the SMB space. ($2M - $30M in revenue). How much deal flow and competition for deals are people seeing in this market segment? I've been told by some that most M&A firms will shy away from companies doing less than $20M in revenue so there is a lot less competition in this market segment. Would love to get peoples thoughts on this....
