Making content while in internship?
Hi all, as the tittle asks. I've been seeing a lot of tech intern "influencers" posting content about their internships or about a "day in the life" type content. How can i go about asking my manager if i could do something like this outside of work? or to build a brand while working and throughout the year? I want to avoid breaking any rules in the wild event that I get a brand deal or just in case there is a rule within the bank regarding content that I am not aware of.

yes, but i was wondering if its something I could do on the side. I'm sure we've all seen the "day in the life" videos of interns online, i'm not suggesting I would share confidential information, but I was thinking of just making content online. I am in the same bank as last summer, I already know my manager well.
don’t make it about work or anything related to your internship. we had a summer whose content in the office appeared and it was an easy no offer
just make videos on the weekend or about ur day outside the office. i wouldn't take too many clips in the office even if im not showing any confidential info.

There is a reason that most finance-based social media influencers either 1) don't show their face/any identifying info or 2) have recently left finance. It is because many large firms have strict social media policies for front office (or all) staff. You should read your policies.
