Matched with my MD on Hinge - Advice?

I matched with one of the MDs in my group on Hinge last night and genuinely don’t know what the right move is.

I’m a first-year analyst, 23M. She’s early 40s, divorced, and senior enough that she has input on reviews and staffing, though she isn’t my direct manager. I knew it was her when I liked the profile. I figured there was basically no chance she’d match, but she did.

Her first message was: “Well this is awkward.”

I haven’t responded yet. She was completely normal in the office today and didn’t mention it.

The obvious answer is probably to leave it alone, but I also feel like ignoring/unmatching her could somehow make it more awkward. I do find her attractive, which is not helping.

Has anyone dealt with anything remotely similar? Do I just acknowledge it with a joke and move on, or is the safest move to not touch this at all?
