Had a call with an MD that went really well, and they offered to send HR/recruiting coordinator my resume with a note. Does this basically equate to a first round? I've generally heard that analysts/associates are the ones that actually sift through the resumes and select the ones to be interviewed, so wasn't sure how it works. Would HR just make a note of this and tell the analysts running recruiting?
