Mental Acuity after 36 hours swing

I was wondering what do most of you do to combat mental fatigue? I have no problem pulling 24-36 hours swing, but it seems like after the 20th hour mark, my body just breaks down.

Tried drinking coffee and energy drinks, but it really doesnt help when your mind is so tired.

I guess the part thats upsetting is knowing that I should easily able to figured out a problem, but because my mental acuity to down to nothing, I have to take much longer.

For most veterans, do you just suck it up and get used to it, eventually?

I try as much as I can eating healthy and run whenever I can. It varies from 1-4 times a week.

Seriously.

But I'm not talking about cocaine. Stuff like provigil or any of the ADD medicines.

Your best bet is to get a prescription, because as low as the risk is, you don't want your career getting messed up if you get arrested for possession.

Take a walk outside in the cold/ splash cold water on your face....mind you, depending on your workload previously, you may find yourself needing to do this at ever increasing intervals.

A walk away from desk always helps
