MFin After Undergrad

Hi everyone.

I am currently an undergrad looking to get into investment banking. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do until very recently, so I wont have a full-time offer.

  • non-target (decent Wall Street presence)
  • cumulative GPA: 3.9/4.0
  • finance GPA: 4.0/4.0
  • good internship experience but not IB
  • GMAT 780

Would it make sense to apply to top MFin programs to extend my chances at getting a full-time analyst offer? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

With those stats you'd be competitive for MIT. In at just about all the other schools.

My advice, try and find a job close to IB while you continue to network. You should be able to find something in credit, valuation, etc. Keep networking and look for MM and Boutique opportunities.
