Modeling Question - Earnings projections?
I'm trying to figure out how to focus my modeling efforts for working at a small boutique. What would a small boutique analyst have to do in regards to 3 statement modeling and earnings projections? Build it from scratch, or outsource all/some of the model by utilizing ER? What if there is no ER since it is a private co? Essentially, I'm wondering if I should be able to do statement modeling well, or just focus on using existing statement models to build DCFs and comps. Thanks!
