Moelis VS Goldman Industrials VS JPM

Hi! Was lucky enough to receive offers from these three firms for SA 26 and they expire the end of this week. Goldman is for industrials, JPM has placement next spring, and moelis is generalist.

How should I handle the decision process?

GS industrials and Moelis would probs have similar culture/work. would take GS> Moe here.

If you are very confident in group placement(supertarget and u have alumni in best JPM groups), you could go for group placement risk, but otherwise would take GS

I would first like to say Congrats on all three offers! I think it would really depend on the what you prioritize
Obviously, if you are looking into name of the company, GS or JPM would be better than MOE. But if you are a finance hardo and want more experiences early on, you would want to go with MOE.

I think the real decision here is GS Industrials vs Moelis and you are essentially deciding between a BB vs EB experience. This is how you should think about it. I will say GS is the best BB, and GS IND is one of the best groups at GS. Moelis is not the best EB but certainly not the worst.

If you are dead set on PE and want experience that best preps you for the associate role then Moelis. Otherwise, GS Industrials is a way to go. GS is a better brand but you work with smarter and more driven people at MOE.

Anecdotally, GS Industrials took some of the dumbest girls from my target, whereas both the FIG and TMT took kids who were better. I mean, if you think of it, it makes sense cause Goldman recruited way after the top kids signed early on in the recruiting game. On average, EB kids are just generally more prepared and sharper nowadays considering how BBs ask vanilla "tell me about a time..." or "when working in a team" type of bs questions that take less than a few days to prepare.
