Monogram on the cuff?

Second year analyst and wondering if it’s okay to wear monogrammed shirts in the office as a second-year analyst?

My dad’s gotten a few shirts for me custom-made and got my initials monogrammed on the cuffs. If I had to choose I would keep them off since I don’t want to come across as tacky but these are expensive shirts that I would like to wear to the office if possible. Hence, wondering if it would be okay for me to wear them.

I don't think anyone will mind, criticize, or really think all that much about it.

However, I also tend to be quite picky about my shirts, and so I understand the question.

Monogram on the cuff (elsewhere) is like a classy way of being proud of who you are, and seeking to stand out from others.

Some people like the monogram, some people don't, and sometimes it grows on you - even if not (initially) your preference.

I don't know if you are referring to French Cuffs or Barrel Cuffs (with Buttons), but either way, it's a clean, classy look.

A custom shirt will always look great, with a clean, proper, and classy look; and you can be confident of looking great, regardless.

Little details like that - monogram, cuffs, collar, pocket, etc - make it personal.

I used to be lukewarm about certain details like this, which my father also advocated (long ago), and here I am, decades later, with a collection (100+) of cufflinks and other things that I had considered old school at the time, and that I didn't realize (at the time) that I would ever really get into - perhaps not until I started to receive various compliments, and started to realize that some things do stand out in a good way, even if we might not realize at the time.

It'll look great - I'm sure.
Be proud of who you are (monogram).
Nobody is going to say anything.
Be confident.
Enjoy / good luck.
I hope this helps.
