More information about different deals in IB
Hi WSO Community,
I am preparing myself for SA 2021 interviews/conversations for BB/MM/EBs of the world. A very common question is to tell me about a deal that our bank/group completed.
Even if they don't ask you, you can show interest by proactively talking about a deal they completed and why that is interesting to you.
The difficulty I am facing is finding quality information about the different deals. For example, finding which banks completed which deals (this is still relatively less difficult), going into the depth and/or seeing how to analyze a deal (Deal XYZ was good because of ABC).
Any help in this matter would be helpful.

Hey there,
I have the exact question months ago when I was going through IB SA recruitment. In short, if you are at home with no database access, googling it in news by bank name + the terms "advises" / "advises on" / "was an advisor to" will get your some deal info if you are looking at those reputable banks. For boutiques, sometimes they would have a tab that records what deals they have closed. Hope it helps.
