I'm wondering how far an md referral gets you in the morgan stanley application process? I'm assuming it gets you a first round interview but than it is on you to perform in interviews and superdays. However I've heard different things from different people and don't know what to think.

At my semi target school all it does is help get you a first round.. But MD's are very hard to reach and aren't worth the time, the analysts are actually more close to the process and choose phone screens
Sounds like OP might already know an MD at MS. If that's the case, it definitely makes sense to reach out!
Then yes definitely, but make sure to reach out to everyone at the firm to maximize chances
Lol I hope you're joking bc that's really shitty advice. Why the fuck would you think that's a good idea?
Dude you need to chill. I mean everyone (analysts, associates etc not just MD's). Not literally everyone at the firm.
It's people like you who make this industry so intense
Tbh I think the monkey shit was a bit unnecessary. Also, I saw that my comment was deleted lol is cursing not allowed?
