It was someone from compliance (MS) and research (UBS). It will not affect deal flow, unless the gov't goes on a witchunt of similar proportions to the one that brought Drexel to its knees. Chances of that happening are minute.
I think that's what was so surprising about the ring. There were lawyers, officers, and people who should be making sure rules are followed involved.
probably something I shouldn't bring up when asked 'what do I know about UBS?' in my interview next week.
