Need To Learn About Renewables

I had a networking call go a little to well and now I have a first round with a MM bank’s renewables team. I'm grateful for the opportunity but I don’t know much about renewables aside from the new AI energy demand that will be met with renewables, and that the big beautiful bill was important (I understand a little bit of it, but not much). I’ve read Lazard’s LCOE report and some other general stuff, but what else should I read up on? What are the best sites to find news on the industry? What are the sponsor's trends? How will the BBB and other regulations affect the industry? Why do femboys turn me on?

Also, are there any specific technicals I should know that are more important/prevalent for the space?

Based, I love advocating for power generation that is 10x as expensive to build, takes 5x as long and is quite literally never completed on time or on budget

if only there was a cheap and sustainable resource that can come online twice as fast as the quickest thermal resource… if only

The only thing you need to know about renewables is that they're a money grab thanks to government subsidies and that nuclear is the only renewable energy that can power our civilization.

I agree that we should be paying way more attention to nuclear energy and supporting it across government and society as a whole. Nuclear is the only way we can get the energy we need in a sustainable way, and it should be considered the key part of the renewables and energy stack.

2nd year AS at a P&U shop - focus on trends and a genuine interest in the space, id say read up a little on the entire space (O&G to Renew) and then take time to understand the key drivers of each form of renewable enery

Key drivers of demand growth for a specific source or key drivers of investment? I think I have the solar panel situation down and I'm starting to look into other sources. What does your group think about the renewables space currently?

O&G and the rest of the non-renewable energy space is also new to me. I'm sure there are plenty of good resources on WSO for me to look at, but how would you go about understanding the space broadly if you had to start over?

And do you find P&U rewarding?

No I thought I was moving onto a SD for a renewables specific IB group and wanted to get up to speed, didn't end up doing much more than reading industry reports and tracking RBC's Richardson Barr website.
