Networking for Lateral Opportunities Before Starting Analyst Stint
Beginning FT at a MM bank, but hoping to lateral to a BB/EB in a year or two.
I have a bit of time before I begin the position so I was planning on networking with a few of the people at BBs/EBs I was interested in.
Is it weird to network with these people given that I have not currently begun my position yet? I can imagine it might be a tad bit awkward to say "Oh I have not actually begun yet.."
But, I feel like I won't have much time to network once work begins, thoughts?
