Networking GPA ~ Please Help!

I’m a student at a semi-target/target (UT Austin/UVA/UNC/Emory) and am getting into the networking process for banking. My GPA is currently a 3.7/4.0 which, relative to peers in my same spot, is considered a bit low. Also, have heard a lot of talk about banking cutoff GPAs being a 3.8 (albeit this may very depending upon what bank).

As I begin sending out networking emails, would it be best to leave my GPA off my resume or not even send my resume at all? Should have a 3.8 by the end of the semester—would you suggest putting a “prospective” GPA and that being 3.8 on my resume? I know it might not be that important for some, but my thought process is if they forward my resume to someone actually in charge of hiring, they’ll automatically trash it.

Lastly, looks like a lot of Middle Markets (ex: Houlihan Lokey) are opening up their apps in November, before first semester sophomore GPAs are finalized. So are they only evaluating people based on their freshman year GPAs?

Any help appreciated.

^Should also probably add I’m not a finance major—more STEM focused so not sure if they’d evaluate me differently.

I’d put your GPA there , it’s more of a red flag if it isn’t there 3.7 is fine especially as a STEM major. If you feel comfortable put 3.8 but make sure you do can guarantee it will be that before filling out apps
