No desire to stay in IB / PE long term - does it make more sense to just stay 1 year as an Associate and then leave?

Hi all, current 2nd year analyst at an IB and thinking about next steps. Have an offer for PE but don’t think I would even want to do that long term, let alone IB.

Thinking if it just makes sense to maximize short term cash comp and stick around for one more year of IB as an associate (and collect A2A bonus + 1 year associate bonus) versus taking a pay cut to work at MM PE (which I’ll probably leave after one year anyways). Am I thinking about this wrong?
